Easter always seems a bit on a non event as a Bank Holiday weekend. The promised sun never seems to materialise and this year it was rain and cold winds to make it feel more like December.

While the beaches and attractions suffered we were ones to gain with a steady flow of house tours. I got me wondering which of the events of the weekend would Dylan have chosen?

As a child he went to chapel regularly with his parents who travelled to Newton to attend Paraclete where Uncle David was the minister but I fear that towards his adult life he was not much of a church goer.

Politics then? The hardly a surprise announcement of the date of the General Election might have stirred him a little but as something of an itinerant his opportunities to vote would have been few.

No, I think television and the long awaited new Dr Who series. Swansea born scriptwriter Russell T Davies was responsible for bringing the Doctor back in 2005 but he has gone to pastures new – like Dylan seeking his fortune in America. Dylan would have enjoyed the first of the new series set for much of the location shots in Llandaff near Cardiff.

Many of the past series have been shot on location in Swansea and Gower but strangely they have not asked to shoot in the house – shame!
